Guild Gallery Exhibit Opening: "Thresholds"

EVENT: "Thresholds" Exhibit Opening Celebration
DATE/TIME: On Display January 26 - April 12, 2025
LOCATION: Guild Gallery, 24353 Redwood Hwy. Kerby, OR 97523

The Southern Oregon Guild invites you to view our 2025 Winter Guild Member art exhibit, titled Thresholds, featuring varied artwork from current Guild Members. Thresholds explores the point or level at which something begins or changes. As we enter into a new calendar year, this means a transition into a new era for us. Thresholds can be figurative like signifying a boundary or a chapter of life; or literal, such as marking an entrance and exit into a space. Artists are showcasing where their personal thresholds lie, how they navigate transitions in their lives, and how those moments of crossing boundaries shape who they are. Thresholds will be on display in the Guild Gallery through April 12, 2025.

DATE/TIME: Sunday April 13, 2025 from 1-3pm
LOCATION: 24353 Redwood Highway Kerby, OR 97531
PRICE: FREE Admission; all book sales benefit Michael's legacy

In honor of beloved past Guild Member and Portuguese American poet Michael Garcia Spring who passed away in October 2024, we proudly present a spring book release event in conjunction with his Celebration of Life (April 12) in Takilma, OR to share his final written works of art. We couldn't think of a better time than National Poetry Month to release his final poetry book, Approaching Pianowood Harbor, publised by his company, Flowstone Press. Flowstone Press was founded with a goal of publishing contemporary poetry collections and chapbooks, leaning toward the lyrical, psychological, environmental, cultural, and imagistic. In the spirit of Flowstone, during this event we are hosting a community open-mic and we invite Michael's loved ones and local artists to gather and share poems, songs, stories, or spoken word pieces either about Michael or any topics that speak to your hearts. We will have a PA system and chairs available. To sign up for a 5-10-minute performance slot, please email us at: This email address is being protected from spambots.
