This holiday season, channel your creativity and make your very own set of one-of-a-kind personalized holiday greeting cards to gift to your friends and family! Join Guild Member Mary Ann Clady for her workshop at the Guild in Kerby on Saturday November 15 from 1-4pm where you will make at least two watercolor cards using a method of layering shapes over and under colorful watercolor washes. Learn how to build up several paint layers by using precut stencils that Mary Ann will provide with a selection of subject matter that may include: snowflakes, pointsettias, ornaments, leaves, and more.
Watercolor can be a tricky painting medium! Mary Ann provides many years as a seasoned painter and with her detailed instruction and hands-on assistance, you'll overcome your fear of a blank piece of white paper! Learn to feel confident enough to start and finish basic watercolor paintings/cards on your own using the knowledge you learn in class. Mary Ann will share her tips and tricks and how with minimal materials you can create small beautiful pieces of art. All skill levels are welcome--no prior painting experience is required. Questions? Contact Mary Ann Clady, by email at
Class fees are on a sliding scale $20-$40. Mary Ann will supply most of the materials including card envelopes, however if you have your own watercolor paints, palettes, and/or brushes, please bring them. When you register, please honestly self-select your contribution. Choose a tier that supports you to commit and that may be a stretch but not a hardship. By paying at the highest level you help subsidize others and offer scholarships to support a wider range of people. If the sliding scale would be a hardship and you’d like to request a scholarship, please send an email to
