Ryan Hopper was born into the Tobacco Clan (Mother), Towering House (Father), Red Bottom (Grandmother) and White (Grandfather). Being Navajo, he comes from balancing two worlds: growing up on the Navajo Reservation and now living in an urbanized world. Printmaking is Ryan's primary medium through which he channels his deep appreciation for nature, land, and animals with a decorative element. His inspiration comes from the places that he has traveled and his identity within a family of shepherds and Navajo rug weavers. The future of his art is to share, inspire, and grow with Hopper Gallery - to display his art in homes and public spaces. Ryan currently splits his time between Salem & Southern Oregon displaying his work at various festivals, art markets, and exhibits. A variety of his work is on display year round at the Guild Gallery in historic Kerby. To learn more about Ryan, visit his website here.
