The Guild invites you to join us on Sunday July 26 from 4-6pm at the Guild Gallery for the FREE opening reception for Interdependence. Enjoy live jazz music from Terry D. Davis, light appetizers and refreshments. Listen in to hear from participating artists about their artwork and how it relates to this show's theme. This summer exhibit features varied artwork from current Guild Members and a *new* Visiting Artist exhibit featuring Donna Bertucci-Ruiz & Heather Ayers-Flood from the Back Door Art Studio & Gallery.
Donna Bertucci-Ruiz (Tucci'z Designs) is a jewelry artist and adventurist based in Talent, OR that is forever translating her surroundings into an art form. Her fascination with the Pacific Northwest inspires her necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets that tell stories of her experiences in nature. Often working from her own photographs, her pieces are sculpted in fine silver Precious Metal Clay (PMC), a malleable recycled silver that can be molded, cut, and fired in a kiln. Additions of crushed turquoise, stone inlays, gold accents, patinas, or beads are included until the scene comes alive as a wearable art piece forged as a gift to be adorned by the viewer. The entire process from the adventure to the silver and the final finishing completes her story. She hopes the owner of each piece will certainly have their own story to tell!
Heather Ayers-Flood (Creatif AF) is a mixed media artist who has long called Talent, OR home. While she started her artistic journey at a very young age, preferring finger paints and Play-doh over most other media, her journey carried her in many directions, including photography, calligraphy and fluid art. She rediscovered her passion for inks, paints, and messy creations along the path, and when the gel plate caught her eye she was completely hooked. Her main medium these days is alcohol ink - the intensity of the pigments is spectacular!
This exhibit kicks off a yearlong collaboration between the Guild and the Back Door Art Studio & Gallery located in Talent, OR to foster connection and support among artists in the greater Southern Oregon region. We will host artists from their gallery and vice versa. We hope you'll help us celebrate and visit to see all of the new work such as jewelry from Donna Bertucci-Ruiz and alcohol ink prints and cards from Heather Ayers-Flood on display only from July 26 - October 11, 2026. The Guild Gallery & Art Center is located at 24353 Redwood Highway, Kerby OR 97531 and currently open to the public from 11am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday.
