CLASS: Beginning Watercolor 101 with Mark Bair

Have you ever wanted to try watercolor but learning on your own feels intimidating? Join Guild Member Mark Bair for an introductory summer workshop, Watercolor 101 on Saturday August 22 at the Guild Gallery & Art Center in Kerby.  Mark provides many years as a seasoned artist to help you find your courage and trust with the painting process. With his detailed instruction and hands-on assistance, you will learn how to mix colors and color schemes, create large areas of color washes, build layers of color and depth, and paint wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry. You will walk away with a comprehensive understanding on how to use and care for watercolor materials. With Mark’s assistance, you’ll be encouraged and ready to create beautiful paintings at home and achieve the results you want. This class is appropriate for anyone – beginners will have no trouble with the methods used and more intermediate painters will receive a refresher – no painting experience necessary!
