Joshua Beach is a glass artist based in Selma, OR in the Illinois Valley. He began his adventure in glass after moving back to Oregon, his home state, in 2014. After spending time with an old friend, and masterful glass pipe maker, flameworking began to occupy a greater portion of his daily thoughts. Soon after he set up a small glass shop at his home, where he uses a specialized oxygen/propane torch to create work from rods and tubes of borosilicate glass.

Joshua don't use any molds--each piece is individually shaped with heat, gravity, and hand manipulation! When a piece is finished, he places it in a digital kiln to anneal and/or change the color of the glass, similar to a kiln glaze. Currently he splits his time between making jewelry, sculpture, and marbles. He aims to keep expanding his creative practice by developing new forms and techniques at various price points.
