On April 22, 1970, citizens, businesses, and non-profits came together for the first Earth Day to advocate for regulation that has since resulted in cleaner air, cleaner waterways, and the protection of endangered species. This year we are honoring the 53rd Earth Day with our Spring Guild Member Art Exhibit: "Our Fragile Planet."
We had a great turn out Sunday April 23 when we featured live music from Terry D. Davis, appetizers, and refreshments and Guild Members made short presentations expressing their creative perspectives on both local and global sustainability utilizing the idea that, "Art has the power to mobilize us to action."
