Kick off the holidays with the Southern Oregon Guild at our seasonal extravaganza at Bridgeview Vineyards in Cave Junction! We will be celebrating a new winter group art exhibit on display inside Bridgeview's Tasting Room, hosting interactive holiday craft workshops, a raffle, a poetry reading/open mic, and a lovely dinner made by Rene. Guild vendors will also be present selling their art and fine crafts, so come by to get some of your early holiday shopping done! We invite you to support your local businesses, artists, and artisans this holiday season.
HOLIDAY EVENT SCHEDULE:
12-3PM: Holiday Wreathmaking | Make a seasonal evergreen wreath with local Illinois Valley florist Lark Staples of Singing Larks Farm! During this hands-on workshop inside Bridgeview's bottling room, you will weave the natural world into your own unique masterpiece, learning the art of selecting, arranging, and preserving a stunning array of florals and greenery. As you craft your wreath you’ll find inspiration in the vibrant color and texture of nature, and the end result will be a testament to your creativity and the splendor of Southern Oregon’s flora. Lark will share several kinds of locally foraged evergreen foliage to work with as well as fun additions like eucalyptus and huckleberry. She will walk you through the steps of how to build a wreath and then we will decorate it with different cones, berries, dried flowers, ribbons and more! All materials and tools are provided. This is a fun and creative project and you will walk away with a lovely wreath to decorate your home for the holiday season!
Lark Staples is the woman behind Singing Larks Farm, your local flower farm here in the Illinois Valley! Next year will be her seventh season growing and designing flowers for the people of our community. Lark and her husband grew up here and returned over ten years ago and now have a beautiful family with two sweet kids. Lark designs floral arrangments for weddings and events and loves offering arrangements for birthdays, anniversaries, and the everyday surprise! She really enjoys doing workshops where she can meet and connect with people, sharing her skills, and seeing how people make it their own!
3-4PM: Shop & Sip | Swing inside Bridgeview's Tasting Room to enjoy a NEW winter group exhibit featuring artwork from Guild Members. Guild Vendors will also have tables set-up selling a variety of art and fine craft items ranging from jewelry to glasswork to basketry and beyond. Vendors will be set up through 6pm. Relax and enjoy a variety of delicious award-winning wine and beer which will be available for purchase from Bridgeview Winery. Visit the Guild's table to learn about Guild Membership and/or buy $2 raffle tickets for a chance to win a handmade wooden bench valued at $450!!
4-6PM: An Art Cafe with Dinner & Dessert | Grab your seat! From 4-4:30pm, we will be reading a poetry selection from local writer Barbara Parchim's *NEW* poetry book Muscle Tree. From 4:30-6pm, anyone is invited up on stage for our holiday open mic, showcasing their talents to our community! Come at 3:30pm to sign up for your 10-minute slot or email us at
