Photography became an interest when I began to study it during high school. I was helped by my brother who taught photography and visual arts at Montana State. This was long before digital photography, which has been a mixed blessing.

Some things about digital photography are repellent to me. Manipulations can be done so easily. But, now one can see what the picture looks like immediately. That way, adjustments can be made and the results are often better.

I have some Kodachrome slides taken over 50 years ago that retain all their colors. My interests are landscapes, wildlife, and macro, or extreme close- ups.
