You are cordially invited to submit your application for Southern Oregon Guild’s 5th Annual Artoberfest, a juried art fair to be held in the Illinois Valley, October 20, 21 and 22 in conjunction with the 10th Annual Valley Girls Quilt Show.
Fair Hours :
Friday through Sunday, 10am-5pm
Artists’ Reception: Saturday 5pm-6pm
The two events, Artoberfest and Valley Girls Quilt Show, create a fall Celebration of the Arts in Southern Oregon’s beautiful Illinois Valley and continue to draw a greater number of visitors each year.
Artoberfest is located along Highway 199 in the small historic town of Kerby where many art merchants attract both tourists and regional visitors.
Artists’ booths are located at show headquarters on Rogue Community College’s Kerby Campus, which is also home to the Southern Oregon Guild Gallery & Art Center.
At the show venue, a unique indoor space allows for design of a delightful custom show layout based on interviews with each individual artist. In order to accommodate the widest range of fine art and craft disciplines within the indoor space available, the layout utilizes a variety of booth sizes and shapes.
Food and live music add to the fair. Free parking and support for artists is available.
Artoberfest is open to artists in both 2D and 3D media from throughout Oregon and northern California
Applicants will receive directions for submitting digital photos via email after submitting their application.
Judges will be two art professionals who are knowledgeable about the full range of media. They will look for excellence and creativity in conception, execution and presentation. Judging is on an anonymous basis. A balance of artists in each medium will be invited. All decisions are final.
Call (541) 659-3858 for special needs questions.
There is no application fee.
Booth fees will vary from $75 to $170 based on artist’s choice and space availability.
Artists may share a large booth but each must apply separately.
Notice of jury results will go out by July 21.
To secure your space, your booth fee must be received by August 4.
The booth payment may be made by cash, check or credit card, online, in person at the Guild Gallery, or by mail.
Be sure to email photos of your artwork to complete the Artoberfest application. You will receive instructions via email after you submit your application.
If there is a waiting list and space is available after the August 4 deadline, artists will be informed as soon as possible.
Indoor booth footprints and design are flexible and will be worked out with our show designer based on individual artists’ needs and space available.
